Announcing Amazon Bedrock IDE in preview as part of Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio

Today we are announcing the preview launch of Amazon Bedrock IDE, a governed collaborative environment integrated within Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio (preview) that enables developers to swiftly build and tailor generative AI applications. It provides an intuitive interface for developers across various skill levels to access Amazon Bedrock’s high-performing foundation models (FMs) and advanced customization capabilities in order to collaboratively build custom generative AI applications.

Amazon Bedrock IDE’s integration into Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio removes barriers between data, tools, and builders, for generative AI development. Teams can now access their preferred analytics and ML tools alongside Amazon Bedrock IDE’s specialized tools for building generative AI applications. Developers can leverage Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) to create Knowledge Bases from their proprietary data sources, Agents for complex task automation, and Guardrails for responsible AI development. This unified workspace reduces complexity, accelerating the prototyping, iteration, and deployment of production-ready, responsible generative AI apps aligned with business needs.

Amazon Bedrock IDE is now available in Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio and supported in 5 regions. For more information on supported regions, please refer to the Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio regions guide.
