HPE has unveiled a secure access service edge (SASE) copilot to help networking teams make faster, better decisions using artificial intelligence as well as a new integration hub that lets third-party applications access HPE Zerto data to streamline operations.
At the Black Hat security conference, HPE said it would utilize AI to enhance network security and data protection capabilities across its portfolio including HPE Aruba Networking and HPE Juniper Networking units.
“With the rise in both the volume and sophistication of cyber threats, organizations need advanced solutions to mitigate risk, defend against attacks and build resiliency, across their entire IT estate,” said David Hughes, SVP & GM, SASE & Security, HPE Networking, in a statement. “HPE’s security solutions are designed to enable a multi-layered, zero-trust approach to protection, including AI-driven capabilities for continuous validation, anomaly detection, and automated remediation.”
HPE introduced its SASE copilot for HPE Aruba Networking EdgeConnect, which the company says will provide customers with AI-driven insights on network activity and security gaps. HPE says the SASE copilot will help network and security teams focus on higher-level tasks while the copilot streamlines operations.
“HPE Networking’s SASE copilot can handle more time-consuming tasks like troubleshooting, investigating issues, running queries, and generating reports which frees up teams to focus on strategic priorities,” says Jeff Olson, director of security product marketing at HPE Networking. “With real-time insights and intelligent guidance, SASE copilot helps teams make faster, more confident decisions that boost both performance and security.”
The company also enhanced network security with its HPE Aruba Networking Central NAC, which expands zero-trust policy enforcement to HPE Juniper Networking and third-party devices. The company also integrated AppEngine with HPE Aruba Networking Central to enable risk-based policy enforcement, granular visibility, and centralized control, the company says.
Also announced at Black Hat is the HPE Zerto integration hub, which the company says will simplify system security and disaster recovery. The integration hub connects HPE Zerto with cybersecurity software and enterprise networking devices to generate insights, automate workflows, and simplify data protections, HPE says.
“HPE Zerto will streamline operations by simplifying how integrations are deployed and managed. With HPE Zerto as part of an enterprise’s larger security stack, HPE is making it easier to connect and secure all the integral parts. This allows us to free up our customers to refocus their time on more strategic work instead of babysitting API connections or running solutions in silos,” HPE’s Olson says.
Integrated exclusively with the CrowdStrike Falcon platform, HPE Zerto can restore applications and virtual machines to clean recovery points even seconds before an attack. The integration with CrowdStrike delivers a combination of threat detection and cyber recovery, helping customers stay ahead of emerging threats.
“By combining the power of AI-native Falcon platform with HPE Zerto’s recovery capabilities, we’re enabling organizations to stop breaches, minimize downtime, and maintain business continuity—even in the face of ransomware and other disruptive threats,” said Daniel Bernard, chief business officer at CrowdStrike, in a statement.
HPE also announced the general availability of its Alletra Storage MP X1000 data protection package. The HPE Zerto Software integration hub will be available in the fourth quarter of 2025.
