Amazon Chime adds SIPREC real-time streaming audio

SEATTLE — (BUSINESS WIRE) — November 20, 2019: Today, Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), an Amazon.com company (NASDAQ: AMZN), announced Amazon Chime Session Recording Protocol (SIPREC) audio streaming, an audio-enabled Amazon Kinesis stream that lets you extract valuable insights from telephone conversations in real-time. You can now quickly build applications for phone call analytics through integration with Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Transcribe, and libraries for ML frameworks such as Apache MxNet, TensorFlow, and OpenCV. The feature is compatible with most enterprise Session Border Controllers (SBCs), Private Branch Exchanges (PBXs), and Contact Centers that support the RFC 7866 SIPREC framework. The Chime SIPREC audio streaming feature is server-less, so there is no infrastructure to manage, and you pay only for call minutes that you stream.
